What is Sofort and how does it work?

Sofort is a service is operated by Sofort GmbH, which is part of the Klarna Group.

With Sofort, you can top up your HandyFin EUR account straight from the app, through one of your other bank accounts.

Right now, it’s supported in Austria, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland and you can find out more about it on our blog here.

To top up with Sofort, you’ll need to:

• Head over to the Add money section of your HandyFin app. Select Sofort and enter the amount you want to add to your HandyFin account

• We’ll then send you to an external Sofort web page, where you’ll need to specify your other bank

• A secure payment page will appear, where you’ll need to log in with your online banking credentials – you’ll need to follow the steps there to authorise the transaction

• You’ll be brought back to the HandyFin app, and you should be good to go! If the payment was successful, we’ll update your balance as soon as it's cleared.

On average, it takes up to 3 working days for the money to appear on your balance.
