Why did my online purchase fail?

If your payment for something you’re buying online didn’t go through, there are a number of reasons it could be:

• You don’t have enough money in your account

• You entered the wrong CVC code more than 3 times (if this happens, we’ll temporarily block your card for security reasons until midnight UK time – read here)

• You’ve gone over your card limits (read here)

• You’ve not approved the payment in the HandyFin app as part of the 3D Secure process (read here)

• The merchant you’re trying to buy from isn’t supported for security reasons (read here)
