To claim for bill protection following an accident, sickness or involuntary loss of employment you must have been employed for at least 16 hours a week under a contract of employment that does not have a fixed or implied end date (if it does have an end date then you are still covered up until the end date). You do not have to be employed to claim for the hospital stay benefit.
You can make a Bills Protection claim if you’ve been using your HandyFin Classic or Premium subscription to pay monthly recurring bills up until the date of your claim. Currently, this feature is only available if you live in the UK, are aged 18 or over and under 65 years old and only for your personal bills.
Following an accident or sickness, you must supply any medical certificates we request as soon as reasonably possible that prove you’re not able to work.
Following involuntary loss of employment, you must complete a claim form and provide evidence of employment, and a letter from your employer confirming the end date of your employment.
We will not pay dishonest claims. If you make a dishonest claim, we may decline your claim.
