To make a claim, just head to your HandyPay app:
Simply go to the ‘Explore’ tab > tap on ‘Insurance’ > select Purchase protection and press ‘Start a claim’. From this point onwards, you just need to follow the instructions in your app.
Make sure to prepare any relevant documents you may have – you’ll see the exact list of documents you’ll need in the app while making your claim. Some examples that you may need are:
- Your invoice or receipt for the item
- A photo of the damaged item
- A police report in case of theft (this is needed even if stolen abroad)
- If your item isn’t in total loss, a copy of the invoice of the repair
- If the item can’t be repaired, you’ll need a formal statement from a repair shop
- We may ask you to return a damaged item to us and if we do then we will pay the shipping costs
Once you’ve submitted the claim, you’ll receive an email confirmation from Qover to your registered email address. After that, simply wait for further updates about your claim from Qover.
Qover will assess your claim and check if it’s valid, your supporting documents will be reviewed and claim amount calculated. If they need further information they’ll reach out to you. Once your claim has been approved, you’ll receive the payment.
